Pond Plants Needed Please!

Hello All,
First I would like to introduce myself I am Darleen or ifound4u, I am completely new to the group. I found out about Dave's Garden when a nice lady wanted to buy some of my husbands great grandmother Heirloom Iris. We did not even know they were heirloom just old and passed down for generations. We decided to do a trade rather than sell and I think we will both be very happy.

My Husband and I both love to garden and my true heart is in the Pond plants with my KOI!

To try and make a long story short last year after 20 years of marriage we hit a hard spot and separated for a while. He took care of the fish but did noting for my plants never preparing them for winter. moving the tropicals inside or even moving the hardy lilies to the bottom of the pond to make it through the winter. I am now heart broken as my once very vibrant & fragrant pond is bare all for one white lily that somehow made it through the winter.

Money is very tight now so replacing them would cost me a fortune. Then I found this place to trade and give away.

I would be glad to pay for postage and welcome any Plants, Lilies, Lotus, cana's, ect... that anyone would like to give to a loving home! Once I am back growing well again I would be more than glad to keep the process going for someone else!

So if anyone would find it in the kindness of there hearts to help out I would be eternally grateful. In return If I have something you might be looking for outside of the pond I would be more than glad to return the favor!

I am really bad as far as knowing technical names of flowers but I am trying to work on putting together
a list of what I do have that I could offer to others and or trade. I am trying to get pictures so that everyone would
know what I am talking about. If you see anything I might have that you might like please just met me know.

I see on your have list, you have Verbena, I do as well but I have no idea how to send some for someone to grow can it be grown from cuttings? If I was to just cut some off and keep the cut end wet when I shipped it, would that work for them to then just put in soil and grow?

I shipped some Verbena last yr. I just pulled it up and wet the roots in a wet paper towel and they were fine in a plastic baggie. BEV

I have ton's of lotus-- but it is too late in the year to divide them now-- if you will d-mail me next April-- I will be happy to send you some soon as they have tubers!!
