scale on standard tropical hibiscus what to do?

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

I have two standard tropical hibiscus that ended up with scale.
I have had these hibiscus forever.
So far I have trimed them down so I could see the branches better and yank off lots of leaves, then squished what I could see, and now have taken the hose on jet setting and knocked any of them I could find off.

How do you get rid of them?

Hi, try using Neem Oil, it's a natural insecticide that comes from a tree in India, or you can try a home remedy by mixing 2 tables spoons of dish washing liquid ( the transparent ones, I use one I purchase at Walmart named green works, natural dish-washing liquid, free & clear from Clorox ), 2 table spoons backing soda and 2 table spoons of cooking oil, mix all tree ingredients in a gallon of water and spray on the hale plant even under the leaves until nice and soak and wet, mus do this late in the evening, leave over night and rinse of in the morning with hose. try it for a couple of weeks to see if this work for you.
