I've heard of blasting buds but why is my H. cv sunrise dropping its peduncles? Otherwise it is healthy...
Dropping peduncles?
Some hoyas drop peduncles....maybe cv. Sunrise is one of them... Heck...I registered it and never noticed it. Will watch mine more closely.
I've had a couple of hoyas drop peduncles. Just yesterday acuta dropped two. I kinda like to think that it happens when the plant is growing bigger and wants to "stretch" ... some of the little spurs have to drop so it can grow and spread, LOL. Yeah, I know ... wishful thinking! I haven't noticed any adverse effects from them losing peduncles once in awhile ... except of the adverse effect of my grouchiness and impatience when I am waiting for buds and blooms.
