Went to a friend's home for dinner last night. She felt sorry for all of us who live in the motel all week and cooked us dinner.

This tree was in their front yard. I had never seen anything like it.

Very cool!

Smoke trees are really nice as a small tree or shrub. There are a few different kinds and the deer don't eat them.

One of my neighbors has a smoke tree and it it so beautiful. The leaves are purple-black and the form of the tree is very graceful. Very striking. If only I had space.......
