I have 4 squash vines in my garden, of varying health and sizes. No pests.
The Acorn Squash vine is producing babies, but they get about the size of a quarter in diameter, and then shrivel up, turn yellow and fall off.
The Zucchini and Yellow Squash have done nothing, not even blooms.
What could be happening?
Squash Problem
It's hard to give you an answer without more information from you. Photos would also help.
How large are the plants? Have you fertilized? Are you plants producing both male and female flowers. It sounds like the female flowers, the ones with the little squash below the flower, is not being pollinated. Do you have bees in the area? Pumpkin and squash flowers are pollinated by bees. Your plants could still be too young to produce flowers.
As far as your acorn squash, I agree with Bettydee - sounds like a pollination problem. Pollin from the male flower must interact with pollin on the female flower in order for the fruit to reach full maturity. You can do this by hand, actually, using a cotton swab. I have my squash under row covers to prevent the vine borer moths from getting to them; unfortunately, this also prevents the bees from getting to them. so I've had to hand-pollinate.
With your other squash, I'd add a bunch of compost and earthworm castings to the soil around each plant, water heavily and have a little patience. Squash sometimes takes awhile to get going. Just make sure you give them lots of water in this intense Texas heat we've had lately!

My squash are doing the same thing - in this case, there are never male flowers open at the same time as female flowers.
They'll get the hang of it eventually, though and with all the plants I have, I'll be trying to figure out how to build a barn out of zucchini and crookneck. ;)
Just a common complaint fro growers od squash, early on I take the male blossums and tear off the petals and use it to pollinate the females .I have observed a lot of ants doing some work in the squash ..Thanks to Texas Tam I now grow only the Zephyr ..Thanks Tam I love this squash and everyone I share it with also loves it ....
