Some gladioli pictures to share and also to be identified

Mysore, India(Zone 10a)

Hello, I'm new to this particular forum though I'm around here for several years.

A generous DG friend from Danmark sent me some bulbs 2 years back and I planted them promptly in separate pots in 2007. To my delight, it threw up nice and healthy leaves except a few with weaker and smaller ones. Eventually it did not flower at all. Last year, we moved in to another portion of the same premises [a long story detailed in my blog here] and I there was ample space for me to plant in the ground. Soil too was better and now it had full sunlight, in fact the afternoon sun as it was west facing. In summer though I protected them with shade net which I promptly removed when mercury came down in the end of May. In the process, the labels I had made for indivudual bulbs have gone astray.

I'm now so happy that many varieties are giving joy with their first blooms in our part of the world. It came from the colder zone.

I also want to know which ones they are and in the meantime, I'll also look up a list which I think I made when the packet arrived and see if it matches. I hope I have.

They are so beautiful and I want to share them here in this forum with other bulb-lovers.

Hi Dinu,

I am sure someone else will come by to help out. I have posted a few as they bloom for me. They are truly beautiful to look at and take pics of. : )

BTW, Makshi, do you know which ones they are, by any chance?

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

I am sorry I don't know the names. There are so many that I find it hard to know names unless I grow them myself.

Mysore, India(Zone 10a)

Okay, Makshi.

Hi Dinu :o)

The white one is; White prosperity, the yellow; Nona lux, the orange Peter Pears.

Mysore, India(Zone 10a)

I found the packets that were sent in and zest has legibly labeled them. I knew I had not thrown them off. Here they are:
Trader horn, Plum tart, Priscilla, Peter Pears, White Prosperity, Nona lux, Callianthus (of course not pictured above). One of them had very small uniform bulbils but they did not seem to have sprouted at all. Then it must be the Trader horn. I think all of them are now labeled back. I'll try to add them to the PF.

Here is the Callianthus.

Thanks very much.

I had removed them for about 4-5 months and stored them in paper bags. Now the monsoon rains have started and I'll replant them this week. I hope to get the same beauty this time also. I hope they will give joy yet again.
