I have 2 scarlet currants that began as tiny sticks from arbor day sale. they've both grown tremendously, but one looks like it's dying. it gets adequate water, but is planted about 4 feet away from a red twig dogwood that is beyond thriving. Is it possible the red twig dogwood is taking all the moisture?
ribes sanguineum dying
Can you post some pictures? I have grown them in relatively dry areas so I don't think lack of moisture would be the problem, but it might be easier to tell from a picture.
