We seen about 15 male and female Painted buntings, a Red Shouldered Hawk(AWESOME!), and one indigo bunting (male). I was amazed that there were so many beautiful colorful birds in Texas. We also seen several Prothonotary Warblers. And luckily we got a picture of a Hummingbird, which we later found in an oak tree with a nest. How awesome! We also seen a grey crane. There was so much wildlife down there it was amazing. My pictures aren't all that great but I plan on going back down there and trying to get better ones.
Painted Bunting at Brazos River, TX
That's a super pic Teresa, thanks for sharing it! I know there are painted buntings at the beach about a 150 miles from here. I'm hoping to see one if I go down in July............
That's great Teresa!! Can't wait to see more of your pics!
Great pic of a beautiful bird. I have only seen them twice during spring migrations.
I agree, that's a beautiful bird. I'd love to see one in person. Love the colors.
