Coming from here in Nova Scotia - http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1001441/
So, I picked up Bullwinkle and the boys from the post office yesterday. Were they ever glad to get out into the fresh air. It's hard to feel all boxed in like that. We mostly took it easy last night but we got a couple things in. We checked out the old fur press by where the old Hudson Bay Company staff house is located and got a nice view of the Moose River.
The Moose is in The Moose - Bullwinkle and the boys
This is the best thing about Summer's, mmmmmmmm. Sonora had to hold Bullwinkle back from sampling her avalanche (slushy and ice cream mix). The boys were eyeing the cone of our friend Dan. We put our car on the train last week so it could get serviced before we go out next Monday. Dan was our ride to Summer's. Summer's sells burgers and fries too but we usually go for the cold treats.
So glad that the lads arrived safely and I look forward to seeing more pics. I see they are still travelling in their NS kilts.
Could you please, when you get a chance, put a link back to the NS thread sot that they are all linked? I'd do it, but I'm on my daughter's laptop in Vancouver and I find it awkward to use.
Ann
I thought that since Moose Factory has some Scottish heritage, the kilts were still in order for a bit. They came off before our trip to the beach though.
The link back is in the first post, I think it should work. Just heading to bed now, I'll post more pictures tomorrow.
Awesome pics !!! Am thinking Summers would HAVE to be the place to be on a hot day !!
The Boyz look well .. you have to admit .. they're not too easy to pose .. kinda 'tippy' at times :-)

Great! How did I miss the link? Must be because I'm using DD's computer. I look forward to the beach pics.
Are the boys behaving? Careful when you take them to the beach.
OMG they sure are having a ball...Gillian, can't believe how big the children are getting..lordy the baby was just walking when you visited me ..now look, playing on the beach enjoying herself..nice time in your life..beaches, children and visitors from around the country...
Bet it's more exciting for them then their visit with me during blizzard season..lol
hahahaha the boys seem to be having a good time at the beach!
You're having a good time with them too, obviously. Lovely weather, too.
Yes, they are having a blast, even with the mosquitos and blackflies. Thank goodness it's finally warmed up. One week it snowed and the next week we were at the beach. Everything is so behind. Normally all of the lilacs would have been out in full bloom by a few weeks ago. Here Bullwinkle is trying to get a smell of the first ones of the season.
cool they look like they are having fun
mona
OHhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Gilli ............ I am so NOT happy with 'skeeters and blackflies' ruin the days here .. BUT .. your pics are absolutely wonderful !!!
The Boyz needed some BEACH time as they missed it on their way across Canada from West to East .. so happy to see you were able to afford them some 'tanning time' :o)
Hopefully Bullwinkle did NOT make a Break for the Lake !!!!!
~M~
LOL ~flip~ haha I remember someone telling me a story when they were at some beach that was a favourite tanning place. They would all have their music tuned to the same stations and the music would last 30 min then the announcer would say 'flip over'. I guess it was long before the times of ipods and knowing the damage from uv rays. Glad to see the boys are having a summer holiday.
I could use some time on a sunny, sandy beach at the moment! The boys are having a real adventure!
hey I want to go to the beach to hahahahhaah
Here are a few things that the ladies have for sale. Of course, Bullwinkle had to try one of the necklaces on. Thankfully, I managed to keep him from noticing the moose antlers on the wall, and the fact that some of the handicrafts were made from moosehide. I'm just glad that it isn't 'moose season' here right now.
That pretty much wraps things up. Of course, there aren't any 'flights' tomorrow so we'll probably get a few more things in before they need to take off. The visit was a bit longer than planned but a missed flight this morning did make for some fun times today.
Where are "the boys" now?
Good question Ms Susan .. I've been pondering that as well ...

I sent a D-mail to Gillibean a few days ago. No response. I'll look up who was supposed to receive them.
Ann
I just got this D-mail from Gillibean.
Hi Ann,
Sorry I haven't replied earlier. My internet access has been very intermittent since we've been on vacation. I was getting worried about them too since I hadn't seen anything about them. I sent them to Kimberley from Cochrane on June 30, I thought it would be faster to send them from Cochrane than Moose Factory. Anyway, I d-mailed her last week to see if they arrived safely and this was her reply on July 9.
"Hi Gillian,
I received our little guests 2 days ago and have sent them on their way to their next stop today. Sorry I haven't got back to you sooner, I just haven't had time to get online until today (using my break at work..sshhhh..)
Thanks,
Kimberley "
It seems like she hasn't had much chance to get online lately, hopefully they'll show up safely soon and we'll get to see some of their adventures. I hope this helps.
Gillian
So, tomorrow I'll check out who was next after Kimberley and check up on them. I DO hope that Kimberley will have a chance to get on line and show us their visit with her.
Ann
Hey all,
The lads were delivered to my door by the postman about 11 a.m. today ! Not sure where they've been, their box was sent July 18th, but they are here, safe and sound. I usually grab a coffee with a friend Tuesday afternoons, so I may just take them with me and introduce them to her. I'll let you know how the rest of the visit goes as time permits.
Karen
