Flag

Sorry to sound disrespectful, but why is the US flag being shown at the bottom of the page?
Not all of us are from USA. I'm from the UK.

I believe it is because the creator and webmaster of this site is American. Thus he has chosen to display his countries flag on his pages.
I am Canadian. I also have my (Canadian flag) on my website.
I recommend all people from all nations follow suit. It is a nice display of pride.

If you look on the UK forum you will see your flag there. Why all this nick pickey stuff. We are all threatened by the events of last week and we should all pull together as people of a free world. The owner of this site is an american and is proud of it. Let us all join together and not

I think that the flag should be at the top of the page, not the bottom.

It is to show respect for the horrible acts of terrorism against us last week and to unite us, to give us strength for what is to come. To let us not to forget. We are a country in mourning.

Amen Debby! It's not only American Websites displaying the American Flag. I have visited many many sites that originate in other countries, and see the American flag on many of them. They are just showing their sadness and support for what happened to America. I think it's wonderful that there is so much support not only within the US, but outside of it also. Did anyone else see the site that had tons of pictures from around the world of American flags, flowers and tears? This tragedy has not only affected the US, but many other countries as well. I didn't bookmark the site, darn! I printed it out instead. I could try to find it again though if anyone is interested. I think it may have been posted on another thread.

We are a WORLD in mourning! This was an act of violence against ALL people of the free world.

This just didnt happen to our country. There were people from 40-60 countries murdered that day...Sept 11th. It did happen in our country though. The hate was centered at all of the free world. These people hate us with a passion. They hate all who are NOT muslim. They especially hate us because of Iraq...and because we are Israel's friend. I looked at pics of the people who are missing/presumed dead at the WTC...and it had people of all different nationalities...some were middle eastern as well.
I say fly the flag the way you want to Dave...it's your site after all. We are your visitors.

I liked the flag on the top of the page myself, also. Joan, I saw that page you were talking about also, but I don't know where it was. I'm sorry I didn't bookmark it or at least copy it at the time.

Personally, I am grateful that there is still connectivity and an internet which allows us all to benefit immensely! Can you remember what life was like without this incredulous tool? I believe it was American free enterprise which brought us this wonderful tool that allows us to speak freely.
