I have a small offset of this plant -- but it has no ID.
What is it?
NOID Aroid What is This?
That looks suspiciously like my Alocasia x portora. I have several very much like it growing at my place.

Is there enough for a positive ID?
I have some other shots of it. It is really big.
The top of that planter is about 5' high.
It had an offset that was loose, and small.
The manager let me take it.
I would have to confirm that it is Alocasia x portora, because as far as I know, no other plant similar to it is out there to be seen. I have other hybrids that could be mistaken for it, but I would know the difference. The only other plant that might look similar is one sometimes sold as "Alocasia sinuata", but the look, to me, is different enough to be telling.

Wow....It has spread far and wide LariAnn.
I am delighted to have a piece of it -- tiny peice of it.
Probably take it years to ever get that big.
Now I can stick in a label. Thanks!!
Oh, with the right care, your little offset could be of significant size by end of summer. It should not take years; for me it takes less than a year from seed to big plant unless I hold them back deliberately. Mix in some Dynamite fertilizer with your soil mix, or in the ground if your are planting it out.
Thanks! I will.
I'm afraid to plant it out. But surely it will be free
to grow all it wants!
Here is a pic of the little plant with a pen for scale.
Yep, I've got some that same size that, if I potted them up and fert'ed them well, would be big by summer's end, easy.
