This is as dark a pink as I've ever gotten here in California. Love this one! I've kept the plant small so I can keep it, even with the water restrictions.
Pink Charm
She is lovely!
How do you keep her small?
Pink Charm is a definite favorite here. Lots of blooms, fragrance and color....and she is easy to pollinate as well.
Wow she is pretty..Love the color and tendrils on her...Thank you for sharing...
Pink charm is a wonderful brug. I got a short fat cutting last spring and was three fett tall and loaded with flowers in five months. It is putting on some nice growth so far this year. It is a keeper.
Mary loves her pinks, Pink Charm is just one more out of Monikas Hybrids that is doing very well also in high heat and is a prolific bloomer, as Gary can confirm also. The dept of color depends on the temperatures going from light to dark Pink, Tendrils extended or curled and best of it she holds her Blooms long.
Just stunning! I have Pink Charm too. It will be a while before I see blooms sigh........
At one time Painted Lady was my favorite single, but Pink Charm has knocked her off the pedestal. I've restricted her growth by pot size, but she formed a lovely standard without my help this spring.
We are about to start what we call the "July Fry" so I won't be seeing too many blooms again until the cooler nights come back. I was amazed by the heat that nearly knocked me over when I opened the door from the cooler house. I have a big bush of Mountain Treasure that are starting to Shrivel with the dry heat. Others on the cusp of blooming probably won't, or will shrivel shortly after. Trying to enjoy the early evening scents while I can, knowing they'll be back again in a few months. Those of you in the North will have your time now.
MP-- don't feel alone-- we have had temps in the 3 digits for 2 weeks now. This musy be what he-l feels like. lol And no rain in sight. Liz
Pink Charm will continue to bloom when all others are suffering from heat exhaustion. She is also very quick to bloom even from smaller cuttings, as long as they were taken from above the"y"....which mine always are.
The limp dish rag look on Mountain Treasure is gone with some water and the lower temps of early evening. She's got a full flush going on out there and they've all bounced back. Bad Angel too. LOL Maybe it's not time for me to go into mourning over lost blooms. Wish I'd gone back out while it was light enough to take pictures. Can't believe the change from this afternoon. Today is the 'legal' day we're allowed to water.
Very pretty, Mary :-)
Pink Charm is absolutely lovely! ♥
Just so wonderful Mary, you are doing a great job helping your Babies to survive the long hot sommer under the protection of the Umbrella. Mountain Treasure rewards you for your kindness.
