I was inspired to do huge arrangements when my lily broke. Please join in. I know you like to make hugeous arrangements.
Theme - Bigger is Better
Beautiful presentation Candee! Great new theme, Thank you!
The set of three look so well balanced, leading the eyes up and down, love it! Good use of foliage too.
Thanks, just kinda happened as that huge lily broke and I needed to save it. It was a great idea because the smell in the house is lucious.
I have only two lilies that are almost of the same size as yours. I have had them for years, started with two, continued with two. They never multiplied. You are lucky to have so many, and so tall and lovely. Here is an arrangement from last year. I won't get to do a repeat this year because the buddleja bush was blown over late last fall. The bush was over 12 feet tall.
Lovely!
Very nice so sorry your bush blew over. Is it going to sprout again as I believe they are hard to kill.
Candee - there was a couple of seedlings around the area, so I saved one and transplanted that. Not sure if it will be the same as the parent plant, but I guess it is a good way to rejuvenate an overgrown plant.
Very lovely arrangement happgarden. I do exactly the same thing too! Plus the fact that the arrangement is out in public reminds me to deal with it as soon as it gets wilty - I tend to leave my arrangements at home out forever and the water ends up being really gross. LoL.
Looks like you got peonies in your garden too. They are my favorites.
Oh yes, that beautiful green slimey water, especially since I live on a well....I know that water too well....LOL
Yes, I love peonies also, that one in the center was huge when it opened up.
Course haven't met too many flowers I haven't like.....big problem.....
Very nice colors there happgarden. The peony really makes it!
Thank you. It was all strickly by accident, I don't have a clue what I was trying to do, other than enjoy my flowers since I can't be home with them....LOL
Great job you guys! Love the photos!
Hi Happgarden, how are you? Beatiful flowers, love the bright colours! Nice seeing you here again.
Thanks for the arrangment!
London, I am doing great. Good to "see" you again. I love iris, and the peony just looked like a big bow tie to me.....LOL
Have you got your greenhouse yet? LoL!
Due to the down turn in the economy....LOL I have chosen to hold off.
I will buy one before the end of 2010, I am scraping together every pence I can find....LOL even every penny.
cents over there isn't it? lol What Biggie are you going to make next here on bigger is better???
I'm still thinking about it, luckily Candee is out of town for a few days! Guess where she has gone? her Granchild is about to be born, how lovely! this news is hot off the press. lol.

Congrats to Candee, she will have so much fun.
We have pennies or a penny, my understanding in UK it is penny for singular pence? Or has all of that changed with the Euro?
Surely someone has been doing big flowers? Only thing I have in bloom currently are daylilies (can you even use daylily in an arrangement?), a few lilies but I hate to cut them and hydrangea and that only takes one.....
I sure wish they lasted a couple of days, not sure one. They are SO pretty!!!!
Great arrangement, so happy and pretty.
You know, it might be worth doing an arrangement like that and take to work, cause I won't get to see the daylilies anyway when I am working because the flowers will be fading by the time I get home....A thought.
We don't have any penny candy anymore either, I think penny candy is probably 10 pennys......
I remember that one Terri. It was really clever the way you dressed up the pitcher.
I just posted this in the yard to vase thread, but I figure it is big enough to fit here in this theme too LoL.
Especially since Candee is gone for a few days so I wanted to help her keep up this thread while she is gone.
Happgarden and Sallysbloom - this is the thread for posting garden photos and arrangements - come on over and post some of your yard.

What a beautiful arrangement, are those glads? If they are I didn't think I like them....oh no another flower I like.....LOL
Thanks Sally!
Good idea Happgarden, get snipping.. lol!
In the old days, we could get half penny sweets with a half penny coin!
Great arrangement Dianne. I'm sure Candee will be happy!
I am very happy you all are holding down the fort. Steve got his pain management treatment today and we are leaving in the morning. This one is a grandson!
Keep all the fires burning for me while away and enjoy your week everyone!
How long will you be gone for? missing you already!!! Glad Steve got his treatment, say Hi!!! what number would he like for his sunflower?? did you even ask him last time???? LOL. Have a wonderful time.
Have a great trip!
What a great arrangement!
Thank you Sally!
Terri, what is that red down below the zinnia, can't quite make it out? Sure is colorful and bright.
Pretty stuff.
Such a pretty color!
Thanks Candee and Sally. It's a strange plant, I really wanted to grow it because it's very expensive at the florists and I've hardly used it for arrangements. Now that I have it growing, I don't know what to make with it... LoL!
