Crocosmia

Fountain, FL(Zone 8a)

One of my two pots of crocosmia is blooming it's pretty lil heart out. The hummers are very happy campers going to it rather then the feeders. Naturally I never have the camera handy! plus I'd have to shoot through the screen of my screen room. Maybe I'll give a try for a hummer at it today durning "beer-thirty".

:-))))....me too! I was at the kitchen table yesterday and happened to look out the window to see a hummer at it. I'm definately going to divide it and put more around the yard.

Pretty shot!

Great shots of your Crocosmia Ginger and Greg!
My Crocosmia began blooming about a week ago and the hummers just love it. I always look forward to it blooming because it causes a flurry of action in the garden. They are so fascinating to watch and listen to.

I've just planted a few of these. Did it in a planter box. So far I'm very impressed. And so are the hummers!

Gardenguykin: You should send that pic to Birds & Bloom. Fantastic!

Thanks Greg and Hummer
Greg I must admit that this photo does make the bloom a more intense red. Some times my camera picks up the reds well and then of course most of the time not!
Thanks again for your wonderful comments.
