I found these on a plant today and have no idea what they are. To me, they look like either a crysalis of some sort. I don't know what the name of the plant is, that they are on. A friend had given me a bulb, I planted it...and now these things are on it.
Crysalis or egg case??
These are chrysalis of butterflies, likely in the family Pieridae (whites and yellows), that includes the well-known cabbage butterfly.
That's what I was sort of thinking. But I didn't know for what. I have my yard planted for butterflies, but I'm unfimiliar with that one. Never saw it before. Thank you so much.
