Cross Spider (Araneus diadematus)
Tutmos,
as GardenGuyKin says, your image is not the Cross Spider (Araneus diadematus). In fact I do not think it is in the orb-weaver family. It looks to me like one of the flower spiders in the family Thomisidae.
It is similar to the Long Crab Spider (Sidymella longipes): http://davesgarden.com/guides/bf/showimage/2078/
but that is an Australian species and shows some definite differences from yours.
I found a list of Thomisidae spiders that might be found in Azerbaijan: http://szmn.sbras.ru/Inverteb/Thomisidae.html
but cannot find pictures of many of them.
We would very much like to retain your image in BugFiles, but unless you can discover its true identity, I shall have to delete it (at least until it can be identified),
Kennedy
