How High Did You Go?

My outdoor thermometer got to 96 in the shade. I gave everyone a good long drink this morning and I just looked out the window and there are some plants asking for more water.

I have my a/c set on 78 and it almost seems too cold in here compared to the outside.

LOL Angie I hear you...spent the day at YMCA for my sons swim meet -worked the concession stand - do not want to smell another hamburger until at least tomorrow...although I was super envious of the kids getting in the water while I stood in the sun and sold hamburgers.....

I've been thinking about you and am constantly comparing your weather to ours here. We're currently 93. The feel like temp is supposed to be 110 today.

I think that you will find summertime temps to be similar, but fall/winter temps to be lower.

X and I had the same temp yesterday - 96 in the shade. So, not the 101 predicted down here, but it may as well have been. Sure felt hot enough. Headed the same way today, it seems.

I was going to mow the lawn this morning but my aunt needed me to stay with my uncle so she could go to church .. by the time she got back it was just way too hot, even with a hat on. Since this is the longest day of the year, I might do it later on this evening .. it's been raining so much the lawn is growing in leaps and bounds .. once a week is almost not enough. It's so frustrating to have a nice, neat lawn then two days later looks like it needs it again!

I was out picking stink bugs off my tomatoes a few minutes ago and looked down and counted 28 mosquitoes on my legs .. ewwwww. I hate using chemicals, but I may drag out my can of Off if I have to spend much time standing in one place or the greenhouse today.
