I bought a gloriosa lily tuber for the second time (the first one completely disappeared in the pot without even sending up a shoot). This one has sent up a vine which seemed to start off ok but has now ground to a screeching halt. It has stopped growing at about a foot long and now the leaves are turning brown one by one. I put the tuber in a very rich mix of potting soil, peat moss, manure, and fertilizer. I have a feeling I may be killing it with kindness. Anyone got any thoughts on the matter?
My Sad gloriosa Lily
It may be that you've over fertilized. Lilies can be finicky about that.
