Diantha die-off

Bryan, TX

Help, My dianthas are croaking one at a time. They look good one day and the next they look wilted and then turn brown and die. When you pull on the dead part they seem to be cut off or rotted at ground level. I don't think I am overwatering them, and they are in full sun. Anyone have any suggestions? Maybe grubs?

Try to have your dianthus on an extra lean, quick drainage site. They're ideal for rock, xeriscape garden. Keep them consistently moist only first at transplants time -- unless you're gwowing them from seeds, after that they're drought tolerant, and indeed needs drought condition to thrive.

Thanks, Lily_love, Yes, when I think of where they are, they have recently received some additional moisture and I will keep them on the dry side and hope they survive. Thanks
