hey y'all i just recieved some tubers of what is supposedly pycnospatha arietina. could y'all give me some info on this, please?

I have one of those and it is an interesting plant, similar in some ways to Dracontium. The bloom is unique. Here's a link with pictures:

Mine is putting out a second leaf now.

so do i treat it like i would a dracontium?

When I repotted mine last Fall, I found that the tuber had live fleshy roots still growing even though the top had died down. That seems to make it similar to Anchomanes, as that plant keeps live roots during the dormant season too. So I would not keep it totally dry when dormant. So far I'm using a well draining mix and time release fertilizer like Dynamite to keep the plant going for the season. I have the plant growing in 60% shade but think it might tolerate a little more light.

ok so while i'm trying to coax them out of dormancy, should i keep them on the dry side? they dont have any roots at the moment.

I would plant and keep the soil moist but not wet. I've never grown one from a dry tuber, so i'm just sharing what I would do if I had a dry tuber with no roots.and I wanted to get it out of dormancy. Please keep us updated on how your plant grows. Mine is throwing a second leaf but I don't know if they bloom each year or periodically, so i'm learning as I go along too.
