Yikes is it wet and hot down here in the Low Country. The jungle is back, looks like 100 degrees is coming up for the weekend.
Sure wish the humidity would go up
National Weather Serivce just issued a heat advisory for tomorrow. Hot and humid, I can't wait.
Hellllooooooo Summer!!
The algae is rampant in the greenhouse - I spend a good portion of my mornings scraping it off the soil in pots .. the hygrometer in the gh seems to be stuck on 80% even with it wide open. All the tropicals in there are loving it though .. everything looks so happy and healthy! I'm terrified that the mosquitoes are going to band together and carry me off.

We just had another 2" of rain this morning along with quite a few fireworks.
We had a bad one here too .. woke me up .. barney, my scaredy cat was yowling and crammed himself behind the toilet. There was one lightning strike where the kaboom and light were simultaneous. I haven't been outside to check the rain gauge but I know when I looked out the window it was coming down so hard I could barely see the greenhouse.

We just got the "official" word and it turns out we had over 3" in under an hour. Our roads are flooded because the stormwater drains cannot drain fast enough right now.
1 and three quarters in my back yard.
