Hi,
I need to find some trailing plants (or cascading, or creeping...) for the edges of a container that receives partial to heavy shade, but are still heat and humidity tolerant. I live in Atlanta, so the heat and humidity thing is a must! Also, they need to be cat-friendly, cause my cats eat everything. I'd like something in silver or variegated; preferably evergreen. I don't care if it blooms. But I also need these plants to be relatively compact, and not take over the container, or overwhelm my beautiful snow-in-summer! Any suggestions?

I live in California, but I'd think Lamium would work for you, too. Silvery, trailing...snails love it, but in a container you should be able to contain that problem. (Sorry, about the pun)
Silver Falls dichondra? Don't know about the humidity but dichonda is perennial in So. Calif. We had it as a lawn when I was a kid
What about a variegated ivy? Mine is doing great in sun and in shade.
Lysimachia (Creeping Jenny) does it for me.
Some coleus love shade and the foliage is gorgeous.
