Sweet corn blown down by storm - can it be saved?

Savannah, MO(Zone 5b)

A big storm hit last night with some very strong winds and it blew down our sweet corn. Is there any way to stand it back up again or is it just a total loss?

Wichita, KS(Zone 6b)

Sometimes they will come back up on their own. If they don't in a couple of days, I have been known to go through the rows and put hills of earth on the side to hold them up for a while.

Edit to add.. I have also put up some poles and used twine to hold them up too. As long as they are still alive, 'Where there's a will, there's a way.' lol

What Vashur said - lol.

Corn has really shallow roots, so doesn't take much to uproot them. Try Vashur's suggestions and see how it goes...

Good luck!
