Wonderful shot Dinu!

Thanks Knip. It's such a small flower and white. Shooting whites is always a challenge, don't you agree?

Indeed I do agree, especially in sunlight. I was at Alnwick garden last weekend and not one of my pics of the rose Madame Hardy were satisfactory, the light was just too bright :( Editing helped a little..

Before the digital era, an experienced friend of mine had told me once that the best time for photography is when there is 'diffused light'. And I tried to experiment his hint with film with better results. Good rose, white rose. How do you manage crisp shots - I mean the one nearer to the lens and also portions a few centimetres beyond also? Notice the little bud...

I prefer days when there's some cloud cover - which usually isn't difficult in the UK :)

As far as the crisp shots go, I suppose it's my camera (Sony H50), keeping still and waiting for the focus. I usually keep my macro setting on too.

Thanks for the tip. Mine is Panasonic FZ8.

I notice your new additions in webshots but will see later during the 'free download hours'. That is my album I posted today. I also have Part 2 of that - kindly take a look also. I thought of dividing the pictures into those groups so that when someone sees the slideshow, it does not drag along. That is about my most recent visit to some parts of Switzerland. Let me know how they are. I've chosen the best ones but there may be some boring sequences, but to break, I've some flora to add in between. Those were some of the best live colours I saw in 'heaven on earth'!
