Looking for the following vegetable seed
Dear Elsa, if you do not find a trader with fresh 'Cicoria Variegata di Castelblanco' let me know. I have those seeds but they must be over 5 years old and I have not tested their viability (in the meantime I will test if they will sprout for me). 4 or 5 years ago I sowed/planterd those, but a neighbours kitty stole the seedlings ;o). I was never able to try them.
Good luck finding your seeds!
Hugs,
Ursula
I currently have Firetongue beans and will have seeds once the current pods have dried on the vine. I will be happy to send some to you if you like
Thanks for replying, Ursula and cue_chik.
Ursula, good to hear from you. I trust you are doing good... You are also in the middle of winter if I'm correct. Can't wait for Spring to arrive. I have so many seeds I want to get into the garden, and a vegetable garden that needs to be started. "Sigh"
I would love some should you have any success getting them to germinate. This year is the year I am trying new vegetables. I am so tired of the ones I grew up with. Not that there is anything wrong with them, but my granddad /father grow the basic potatoes, cabbage, spinach, runner beans and carrots. Sometimes "Ice berg" lettuce. None of the baby leave variety, and heaven forbid! "none of those different flowering / colored bean" beans... LOl!
So they are all in for a lovely surprise I hope.
cue_chik, I would love some of your seeds when you harvest some. I have seeds of a purple bean (from France), "Yard long" bean, and "Scarlet" runner bean.
Have a great day,
Elsa
Good, then they are yours when I harvest them! I'll let ya know when I am ready to send them!
Thanks cue_chik.
Hello, dear Elsa!
I love to try new edibles (whatever) as well. The world has become so small with all the international trading between countries that the supermarkets have become an 'interesting tour' ;o)
You are right, it's winter here too and we just have the very first real rain of the year (so much needed!).
I will let you know how the seeds do.
Big hug,
Ursula
