Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

This was on my grapevine which is next to my tomatoes which are hosting Tomato Horn Worms. This one has no horn but an eye as you can see in the other photos. Also the mouth is different, kinda looks like a ...........well you will see for yourself.

Found out what it is, Achemon Sphinx moth AKA hornless horn worm. Typically found on grapes, the horn is lost after first molt leaving a mark like an eye.

As per Sheila's BF instructions, I am raising it. Will take pics of morp and God knows what else it will do.

Also trying the same with a Tomato Hornworm just for fun.

All they do is eat and poop, eat and poop, eat and poop, and EAT AND POOP!

Ah, yes, that's about what most cats do, whether butterfly or moth.Oh forgot, while they do instars they don't eat...but might poop a little.
