I have a good sized clump of dwarf agapanthus. It was beautiful this year and sported 9 blooms. How should I divide them? Is each bloom one plant? Should I leave them in clumps of two or three? When is the best time? AND will they bloom next year? Whew!
I had agapanthus in my garden back home, but the task of dividing the clumps was too daunting. So I didn't. However, I found a link with directions on how to do it.

bettydee - I have the same experience, but I still have the clumps. Simply too daunting, I'm glad to hear they like to be crowded!
