I was wandering around the plant section of Walmart and they had these pots of small plants for $4.00. It looks like there are 2 separate plants in it. Should I leave them together or can I put them into separate pots and then have 2 Mystery Gardenia's?

Gardenia, Mystery
I sent you a reply a few minutes ago and I have no idea where it went. Has anyone seen a reply that does not belong on their topic. My goodness, mystery is the word.
I told you in the other reply after making a few other comments, go for it. See what happens. The price was right. LOL See if this one goes thru.
How about a little Twilight Zone music to be included! I may do that. Thanks

I am serious, I have been looking around for it because I was serious in my comments about the roots, the age, etc. I do not know where it went?
Does this plant have any roots coming out the bottom? Does it look like it has been in this pot for sometime or was it just planted in it? I would guess it is a hardy gardenia of some kind but being in your area weather is not a problem for it. Does it have buds on it?

I didn't notice any roots coming out the bottom. There was some wiggle room when I tried moving the two different stems. And no, no buds yet. If it weren't dark right now I'd take a picture. I'll try and do that in the morning.
Sometimes they just disappear into the great void. Never to be seen or heard from again. I've had it happen before, It can be a real pain if it was a wordy post.

Was there a label with the first one? I bought an 'improved meyer lemon' at HD because my husband spotted two plants in the pot, When i repotted, there were actually 4! I have a whole grove now. :)
OH I LOVE finding a plant that turns out to be plantS....I always flip over the pots - that's the ultimate decision maker for me. I wish the 'Mystery' would've made it...she looked so good at summer's end....
