Anyone have a dog with Addison's disease?

My dog was just diagnosed with this disease. I read about it on the internet and wondered if anyone here has a dog with this. If so, is the treatment effective?
I just took her in to the vet because she quit eating. He took a blood test and is almost sure she has this.
He could take more tests for a positive diagnosis, but with the symptoms says they are probably not necessary.
From what I have read, she has all the signs including anorexia and lethargy.
So I came here to see if anyone has a pet being treated and how they are responding.
He forgot to call me this evening before he left. so I only can go by what notes the Vet tech was given by him. Snickerdoodle is there at the clinic being treated for her electrolite levels.
I am concerned she won't recover and start eating again. It has been almost a week since she has eaten on her own. I force fed her a couple of times since she was drinking on her own.
I wish it didn't have a name , names make things seem so much more horrible.
