Texas Blue Bells

Cleburne, TX(Zone 8a)

My pink Texas Blue Bells are blooming beautifully -- but they have some kind of pest on some leaf surfaces that I need some advice on. I don't like to use poison unless necessary but it may be necessary this time. Photo is attached. The damage is like the layer of the leaf are separated by whatever bug this is and it turns transparent. I'll send a second photo showing the pretty blooms.

I am so jealous, did you raise them from seed?

Not from seed. I bought a very small plant about a year ago at a nursery in south Arlington or Mansfield. It made it through the winter without me covering it or anything. They really seem easy to grow. A couple of weeks ago, I made the mistake of adding ground llama manure to the pot while my Rottweiler was watching me and as soon as I turned my back, she decided she needed to help till them and pulled out about half of the plant and couldn't save that part. Even that didn't seem to bother the remaining plant. It is just blooming its little heart out. Haven't put any fertilizer on it except small amount of llama manure, which we have an unending supply of. I had never heard of this plant before and am happy that, for once, one of my "impulse" purchases has paid off. LOL.
