Howdy Ya'll !!!!!!!!

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

Hey how is everyone?

I have finally got my flock in order and everything is going so good here in the Okie farm.

I sold off most of the flock and re-established a new flock.

Finally the birds are making their own living.

Eggs are just excellent. I have been hatching out eggs every 3 to 3 1/2 weeks since November. My average hatch rate is about 89 %. Not to bad for shipped eggs, but my hatch rate on my birds have been 95 to 100 %.

Missed ya'll.

Hi Tia!

Wow, that's excellent on your hatching. It must be very exciting at your place. Glad you're back. :-)

Hey Miss J, I am about 50 miles or so from Lawton, I thought you were coming to Oklahoma this summer? If your son wants to come by and pick up some chicks sure I have a "few" for sale :)

Thanks Sandy it is good to be back. Yea it is hoping with chicks all over. Really doing great now. Took some work to get the sickness out of here but now everyone is great.

Hey there Harmony good to see ya again. Thanks, I just love my sportsman incubator, it is pretty much set it and forget it until you start to hear peeping then I want to peek at them.

Sportsman!! """Drooling and Jealous"""My top hatch bit the dust the light socket broke into pieces and fell into the fan frying the motor.
I had eggs in there too luckily i had a setting hen and put 9 under her and they all hatched.

But i have had 5 setting hens and they gave me alot of chicks.
Oh and i have some baby turkeys now they are only about 4 weeks old and starting to gobble.

Good to hear from you ;o)

Wow i love the white roo!

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

Aint he a beauty, he has won lots of ribbons, of course that was when he was with his previous owner. The bad part is I have to AI him he has to much FOO FOO bootie feathers.

(Zone 7b)

Yep Cochins feet do get mighty dirty i use to clip my breeders feathered feet sometimes being on wire they would drag them on the wire and get sore feet.

But you got one handsome roo there!

Luvs, he is coming to Arizona for his high school get together. Then we are going above San Fransisco for a week vacation for the 4th of July... So I was thinking while the weather was still reasonably cool, maybe he could swing by and get some. Do you think they could withstand a 14 hour road trip to here? I am being serious here, I need some more chicks, and well who better to get them from I think.

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

Would he have a cage to put them in I am sure they would make the trip so long as there were a few stops made to give them a drink or two. What kind of birds were you looking for.

Well all I have right now are the Aracauna's that Billy got for his birthday, I need something that is not a hard keeper. Our local feed store are not going to get anymore chicks in, and I am afraid of doing the mail order so I am not sure where I can get more chickens... I am thinking Billy does not have enough, he only has 2 roo's and 6 hens, but out of the hens, only 2 are laying and the other 4 are only 4 1/2 months old.

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

Well then send me a dmail and we can talk about your wants. I am sure I can have some chicks for you all.

Kingman, AZ(Zone 7a)

There was a small egg in Billys chicken water yesterday, I think they might be laying... Although I dont want to think they will lay them in the water, I think the hen just did not know what was happening, and that is where it popped out...

I will contact you Luvs, when I find out just exactually when he is coming this way.
