Name change (to protect the innocent)

Ferndale, WA

As most of you probably know I had a new computer installed, well I had two email addresses and the installer left the address I used for DG off of the new one. I tried to contact DG with no response. Trying to get it straightened out with Comcast the carrier turned out to be a nightmare. I decided it was much simpler to just re-subscribe with DG using my new email address and registering with a new username. So Paraclete2 formerly known as (Haystack) is back on line.

Brookville, PA(Zone 5a)

Hi Haystack!! glad to see you back..sounds like you have had a time with this..how is the new puter? i hope we can get some pics now from you.
sure have missed you!!

cindy

Conroe, TX

Well glad you got it where your back with DG. Sometimes computer stuff can be a nightmare.

Ferndale, WA

Hi Cindy!! Your such a sweetie, as always it's good to hear from you. I hope all is well with you and your girls.

Boy this new puter is fast and I love it already. I will be doing some pic's I have been putting together by the week-end. Paraclete2

Hi smedge! I was reading about the chicken fight's. You know I have been very lucky. I just put 20 six old's with ten four month old's and they are doing great. Raising Cockerels is almost like raising a different fowl altogether sometimes. When you get a good one they are great, and a bad one is a nightmare. Paraclete

Sue, RI(Zone 6a)

Glad you're back! Can we still call you Haystack? :-)

Ferndale, WA

You Bet! I'm not liking this name change! Haystack is who I am. Even my wife calls nme that...LoL.

Sue, RI(Zone 6a)

LOL!
I hope w/ a faster computer this means more pics for us to see. :-)
How are your new babies doing?

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

I refuse to make the change... it's Haystack... I will carry a sign in protest..

We Want HAYSTACK
We Want HAYSTACK
We Want HAYSTACK
We Want HAYSTACK

I'm glad you got a faster computer, but I don't like the new name..

LOL

Ok, in case anyone is wondering....it's cold and rainy today and my face is pressed against the glass looking out...I've had close to a pot of coffee....where are those cookies....heehee!

Ferndale, WA

I'm really feeling guilty about now Sandy!!! Forget the officials, I age the cookies...LOL Haystack

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

I need some cheese to go with my whine...

Conroe, TX

Okay now I like the sign Sandy.
It will be hard to get used to the new name. Haystack is just Haystack and by any other name it just isn't the same.

Denver, CO

Well this is just not ok. I've only been here a couple months, but Haystack is kind of my north star. This just won't do at all. I will give you a chocolate chip cookie if you get your name back.

Sue, RI(Zone 6a)

We keep feeding Haystack cookies like this; we will have to enroll him in an exercise class! lol!

Brookville, PA(Zone 5a)

we will ALL have to get hold of the officials at DG and tell them that WE want Haystack back to where he belongs!!!!!
he is Haystack and there is NO ONE else like him!!!!

The quickest thing would probably be to post a request on the Dave's Garden Forum. There's also a computer forum, but that frightens me somewhat...

a "We Want Haystack Back" thread...

Brookville, PA(Zone 5a)

i just did that with admin and this is the reply i got..
Hi Cindy,

I'm not sure what you are asking. Haystack needs to ask us for a name
change. We cannot do something like this without the request coming
from the actual member.

We still have Haystack as a username (I just checked) and have not
changed it for another name. Did he create a new user account for some
reason?

If he needs assistance, we urge you to have him click the Contact Us
link at the bottom of any page. I'll be more than happy to assist him
with whatever he needs.

Happy Gardening,
melody

To all my friends here at DG. I have previously contacted DG with no response. Maybe a glitch?? I to want my name back and have contacted DG again, explaining what happened and I specifically requested to speak with Melody if my message was not clear. I wanted to thank all of you so much, (Thanks Cindy) and to all of you who made or offered cookies. YOU OWE BIG TIME. Love all of you so much. Haystack

I'm going to ZZs for breakfast! I had boring oatmeal this morning....

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

I think Haystack is too.. that's why he is off for so long.. He might even be bringing his chickens for some of that wonderful melon. LOL

My neighbor gave me 6 Honey Bliss White Honeydew melons... Oh they are divine! I'm gonna save some of the seeds.. they are just wonderful.
German pancakes with homemade strawberry jam.. OOOO Yum!

We have huge strawberry patches here selling fantastic strawberries the size of your fist almost!!!!

Maby Haystack is a undercover secret agent changing his identity to stay under the radar.. LMBO

Sue, RI(Zone 6a)

Yummm! You don't play fair ZZs!

we used to have several pick your own strawberries farms in the area but over the past few years they have all closed. :-( We had strawberry plants at our old place. I'm going to have plants some next year.

OH the drama!!! Finally, I am back and my good name has been restored. Daves garden officials were very helpful. It appears in the confusion of it all, some of the correspondence went to a now defunct email. So the issue was somewhat confused on both sides. Anyway Where is all the cookies, pies, cakes and ..... have you guys been partying without me? Apparently so. No biggie, your the greatest and thank you for your support, Whew!! I'm glad this is over and we can get down to our former monkey business. Hugg's to all of you. Haystack

Brookville, PA(Zone 5a)

WELCOME BACK HAYSTACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank god its all fixed now...you will be getting cookies whether you believe it or not!!

Haystack is back....

Conroe, TX

Well well well, finally, Haystack is back as HAYSTACK :)
We are all smiling now, jumping for joy, dancing, doing the chicken dance even.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Wooooooooo hooooooooooooo Haystack is back! We love you Haystack! So glad.... this IS a good day after all!!!!

Lodi, United States

Hey! Hay!

But that leaves the mystery of who was Paraclete1?

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

It was me BH Catscan.. LOL LOL LOL

Lodi, United States

No, no! You didn't need a paraclete until after The Fall. In Edenic times we had all the chickens we wanted, they never ate eggs and all the eggs in the incubator hatched with straight-legged, chirpy chicks that never got pasty:0)
