Don't tell me you have to dig it up and take it in the GH! My Brugs are both still in bloom--but the plants themselves look a bit droopy--not for lack of water. I think the cool nights are finally getting to them. I had a question re the Osteospenum Daisies. Mine are all over the bed-- lanky and leggy. Probably b/c they were smothered by all the Coleus and Caladiuns and what-not. Is there any hope that they will continue blooming? I am on a yank all annuals up kick. I have 5 big trash bags full waiting for recycle p/u. All from cleaning up the beds and trimmings from all my shrubs out front. Don't ask me what possessed me to do that today! I went out to continue with the back yard beds--and next thing I know I had my electric hedge trimmer plugged in and trimming the yew, the hemlocks, and both Junipers out front as well as the Jap, Holly on the patio corner behind my grill. I think I was possessed! Many of the still blooming L-in-R. Salvias are all in trash bags now. Hated doing it--BUT.............. I just had to pull up some annuals to see what needs to be cleaned up in beds. Here some pictures of things I still have blooming. 1--Bicopa in my HB 2--Red Wax begonias all around the edge of my WS bed. 3--Cute, little bi-color Geraniums-- 4--Some stubborn BES 5--My container of Dragon Wing begonias |
