stonehill26 wrote: Three years ago i bought a Japanese Kerria... I love the foliage and the vibrant yellow blooms. My problem is the plant looks like it's struggling, it looks stressed.... the plant looked promising in early spring but when the hot summer weather arrived most of the leaves fell, there were blooms but very little. I originally planted the Kerria in full sun, then moved it to partial shade and then to a shaded spot. I have robust perennials growing along side, I have good soil and good drainage here in Connecticut. I read that in the UK, Kerria is often spotted in abandoned gardens, growing well without any attention! Please share any knowledge you have on this shrub! |
