1) chocolate zinnia - actually it's not called that, I have to look up the name. It looks chocolate to me though, which is dull and unusual for a zinnia
2) I forgot to take a pic of our first chocolate cosmos bloom! oh well here is a pic taken today

edited to mention that the dead wood showing to the left was a yellow butterfly bush that didn't survive winter. I still have to chop it down
