Beginner Gardening: Why aren't my flowers nice and full (more so the annuals)?, 1 by Bonadea

Second and Third pic are the petunias which seem to be doing well. Than in front is those Ageratum which just shriveled right up for the most part. The were nice when I bought them.

The last 2 pics were the pansies planted to each side of the barrel. I did 4 plants in each spot. There's only 2 still showing with any flowers on 1 side and barely 2 on the other (last pic).

I planted several more pansies all around the yard in different sun lights, all just did bad bad bad. I had bought them from 2 different places.
