thanks, SSG. I can't just leave the fallen-over plants as they are, since they are covering other plants. So I'm wondering whether I cut them back near the base so they are upright on their own again, or get a plant support to prop them up somehow?

Pic of my lily stem broken on the ground, with all its unopened blooms... :-(
