Muddy--
The Coreopsis seedlings go through a couple phases.
Firs there is a sprawling little clump of small, rounded leaves.
That hangs around for a while--and then the center shoots up a tall stem with
different leaves on them. Almost like Cilantro bolting.

This spike is what the flowers will be on. It will get bigger and make a nice clump.
