heavenscape wrote: Good morning sistahs. Another sleepless night for us both. Kel didn't go to work, and he'd be missing it again tonight. 3 sick days taken since he started working at the prison. If that flu could have waited another week, he wouldn't be forced to take days off. Sorry Susan, sometimes the cats mashed the mute button, but you may be right. We may be having dinner that night. He thanked you for the well wishes. Would be nice though to gab. Oh wow LK! COPD.... man that's tough. Good thing that you had quit smoking. You, Barb and Karen must be heavier smokers than me. I quit before I hit 30, started at 18 on Pall Malls then 'progressed' to Marlboros!! Can't do the lights. But after I had quit, still had the smokers cough. Too bad, weight gain followed. LK, after my heart surgery, my doctor told me I must never return to smoking. He didn't have to warn me. Great that you had quit too, Sis Kathy. Never easy, but you regained your taste buds. I hope you're on the mends Sis. Sistah Judy, if you're reading that, you'd know what I wish for you to do. Trying hard Marion. Kel is very stubborn, unwilling to work with me. On the second day of my coughing.. I was using a herbal inhalant, and resulted in productive coughs. Whereas it took him more than a week to finally decide, he needed a breathing treatment. At least there's still his late Dad's Nebulizer and the fluids. Fortunately, he's scheduled to be off Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat and Sun, so, he won't be missing too many days. When he returns Wed and Thurs, I'm sure he'd be assigned to car patrols, something away from the prison population :) Ronna, so you were jamming away! Always feel better after a concert, right.. or hungry! Have fun at Applebees. So your son drives a semi? ((((((Sue)))))))) He should have been open about how he feels!! How could he have led a deceptive life and dragged you along? That's years you can't get back. Now that guilt should be off you. Shame on Tim. Katie, you waited 50 years??? Thought I was more patient. I waited 25 years, with NO kids. I blame it on my Asian upbringing. The best part was at the end, he told me if he had wanted to marry a bitch, he'd have married an American. Reminded him that I'm a proud American bitch! Pegi, I feel for you sistah. Perhaps next time, you can find something much more sturdy to hold on, instead of your pc! Aren't you supposed to drag Darwin and get outside? I had experienced and earthquake, though not as bad as yours, Sue or Karen's, in 1968. It happened in Indonesia, which is very close to Singapore. We live on the ground floor, and I was sleeping when I felt the grounds heaving. My parents screamed at us, to get out of the flat. We stood in our sarongs along with hundreds of apartment dwellers waiting for some word. Along one side of the exterior wall, there was a long crack, fortunately, just half an inch wide. My 2 brothers still live in the flat and the foundation is still secure. This is a map of South East Asia. Singapore is at the tip of Malaysia. Indonesia has active volcanoes. |
