I cut most of the leaves off, then chopped off the top of the plant. This part I stuck in a jar of water.

I cut several little logs off the stalk. These I laid on their sides in a dish, about a 1/4 filled with water.

I left the poor stump in the pot, watered and fertilized it.

So we shall see!
