Trimmed back the tall stems--and now the bottoms will (hopefully) re-grow. Some of the top parts were not all that strong as when taking cuttings from the garden, This means that my Coleus supply may be tripled....IF they all make it.. I lost a bunch of plants from the fall trimming that never made it.... Like--from a tray-full of Osteospermum daisies--I only have one survivor. Some pictures of other houseplants in the process of surviving til spring... 1--Waiting for my cut back brugs to start leafing out again. I see nubbies.... Will spray as soon as leaves emerge...have to head off whatever was the problem early. 2--The Braz. Plume cuttings are almost full-size plants by now 3--Trying to keep my ONLY Maya cutting from dying. Have it under a plastic bag... 4--I totally chopped back my big Angel Wing Begonia a while ago. The cuttings are in water rooting--and the Mama is already growing back. Kind of too soon--as I usually do this in spring. I uproot it, put new spoil in the pot, and then leave it outside... Oh, well... 5--My poor little Rex Begonias are giving up the ghost...They lasted 2 years.... |
