They all have caterpillars that have horns, and assume a position "like a sphinx" when startled. Apparently my hornworms are actually tobacco hornworms, not tomato hornworms. And there are a couple others as well. So far I see no reference to gaura as a host plant, but several others. I am no lepidopterologist, but it is very interesting.
