I bring my big brug in and put it in the basement. It will drop all its leaves. It gets a small amount of
water every other week. In spring it comes back out and I start watering it more. And start with the fertilizer.
If you don't have a basement, you can put it anywhere, treat it like a houseplant and keep it on the dry side.
