Beginner Gardening: Ideas for an island bed?, 1 by EverCurious

After playing around with positions and checking the appearance of the garden hose, I thought joining the island bed to the border along the fence would look better. The original position would have been centered around the central tree.. I think the newer scheme gives more running space for my son too. The curving black line indicates the border of the bed. I'm considering St. Augustine grass for the open area in the center.. What do you think? Any opinions are welcome :)
