I have them on my screened porch next to the east side to get morning sun through the screen. They have done quite well there. I even leave them there in winter and just cover them with sheets. Mine have tolerated the low 40's that way. If it gets to freezing, I move them to my garage. They need a cooling period to bloom from what I have read.
