I would suggest using a balanced fertilizer (all three numbers the same, between 13 and 16, i.e., 13-13-13, 14-14-14, etc.) to feed them. If you use a granular feed (really inexpensive at local feed stores), I'd go with a sprinkle of 1 ounce per plant, watered in, once a week for the rest of the season. Sprinkle the fert at least 4" away from the plant roots, so you don't burn them. P.S. When did you plant your eggplants, and what variety are they? Are you planning a fall/winter garden?
