Also, I bet your 'corn' is really millet! Plants really do resemble corn and it' s in almost all birdseed mixes. There are also ornamental versions in many garden centers. If you let your grow the seed heads will be eaten by birds and they will perch on the stems. The seedlings are fairly easy to identify and pull up come spring. And, your supply will be fresh!
