Oneothera is "Evening primrose--right?

I have some in my "YUK" bed--but the rabbits chewed all the tops off of it.
They also chewed all the lower leaves (as far as they could reach) from my cardinal Flower--
and also the tops off of some smaller sections of my Heliopsis daisy.

I quickly put some green, plastic fencing around that section of the bed--how I hate it!..
It detracts from the look of everything. I think there is at least ONE young rabbit doing all this.
Haven't seen the mama since spring. She is, probably, hatching the next batch of chewers.

You want to see what the rabbits do to my plastic fencing? They just chew a "door" into it.
Which I do not find until fall when I roll up all the fencing....

Like this---perfectly engineered....G.
