picabo wrote: They are strange plants Bob. My old favorite was from a Garden Center in Pasadena, (I am always amazed that I have been able to bring plants on the plane in carry on but I can't bring my bottle of water. LOL) That one has bloomed for me from the first year (it was in a 6' or 8" pot when I got it). I have two others (one from an Estate sale and one from a garden Center both in Nashville) these two are almost as big as that first one and have NEVER set a bud with the exact same care. I have shared cuttings and started plants with other gardeners and some have bloomed for new owners and some haven't. I wish I had kept better notes on which plants the cuttings came from. When I take cuttings this year I do plan to label the plants and cuttings. |
