He decided to use the larger trunks as fence posts for a section of his chicken coop.....sure enough, the following year every one of the trunks sprouted and he had three times the number of fig trees. I would have thought he was teasing had we not seen the trees in question....a chicken coop with a "wall" of fig trees....neighbor said the good Lord musta wanted him to have figs so he left them.
